Brian K

anbayashi

Born and raised in San Francisco, Brian Kanbayashi's list of mentors includes Ruth Asawa, Rex Ray, Jim Goldberg, Marsha Pannone, Carlos Villa, Andrei Codrescu, and DJ Dojah. Not coincidentally, Brian's skill set reflects a wide range of thought and theory, represented by a unique diversity of media types—from traditional fine arts to digital media (including graphic design, audio engineering, sound design, DJing, and digital photography).

• San Francisco Art Institute, BFA

• Ruth Asawa School Of The Arts, HSD

Brian started in 2013 as the tenth employee at RiskIQ. His "get your hands dirty" attitude fit right into our company culture–and despite having no previous experience in cybersecurity, he quickly learned the principles and was able to incorporate them into a great set of branded design assets that gave RiskIQ a distinct identity in the security space. Brian's unique blend of creativity and productivity makes him a great addition to any team; we already miss him here.

Elias Manousos, CEO / Founder, RiskIQ

“I have had the privilege to work with Brian as a designer for over two years. His attention to detail and creative spirit are apparent through the work he produces. But, what you can't see is the listening and direct communication Brian applies to his projects that enables the ability to collaborate easily and with great results. Brian's positive energy is always something we look forward to having on our projects. I look forward to working with him each time.”
